Hello there! I am Kritika Malhotra, an Environmental Studies educator & enthusiastic Soil and Water researcher. Welcome to my corner of exploration!

I am a Postdoctoral Scholar in the Environmental Studies Program at the University of Southern California (USC). I received a Ph.D. and an M.S. in Biosystems Engineering (with minor in Statistics) from Auburn University. In my role at USC, I am teaching undergraduate courses in Environmental Studies.

My research interests encompass environmental sciences, soil physics, vadose zone modeling, agricultural water management, climate change mitigation and adaptation, non-point source pollution (nutrient, contaminants, sediment) management, hydrology, and water quality. I use a combination of field and watershed-based data collection, laboratory, and modeling approaches to address a range of environmental and agricultural sustainability issues.

As a curious individual, I am always eager and excited to learn more about the environment around us. I am committed to creating innovative solutions for environmental issues and making meaningful contributions to the scientific community. I believe in the power of collaboration across disciplines and cooperative extension. Please explore the different tabs to find out about my research, teaching/mentoring, grants/awards, and publications.

Thank you for visiting my website, and I hope you'll join me in exploring the wonders of science!
