I recently joined the University of Southern California (USC) as a postdoctoral scholar-teaching fellow. At USC, I am teaching courses in the Environmental Studies Program (Introduction to Environmental Studies, Water and Soil Sustainability, Environmental Issues in Society).
Previously, during my Ph.D. studies, I served as a teaching assistant for courses such as Natural Resource Systems Conservation, Watershed Modeling, and Geospatial Technologies in the Biosystems Engineering Department at Auburn University. In my teaching roles at both institutions, I have actively contributed to curriculum design, employing diverse teaching methods such as in-class activities, group discussions & simulations, case studies, and debates.
I believe mentoring is a significant part of the educational process. As a senior graduate student at Auburn University, I had the opportunity to mentor undergraduate and Master’s students. As a mentor, I helped new graduate students to acclimate to graduate school life and provided students with hands-on experience and practical knowledge in laboratory skills.
